Here are a couple testimonials about the retreat.
“Before going on the yoga retreat with Charly, I had traveled in Europe quite a bit – I even lived in France for a while in college! But nothing prepared me for this experience! From the very first day arriving in Normandy, we were welcomed like family. The food, the weather, the HOUSE, the yoga, the hiking – EVERYTHING was absolutely amazing!
I had never been on a trip like this before and would go back in a heartbeat. Charly went out of his way to make sure everything was taken care of – even going to the next town over every morning for the perfect croissants! Having grown up in the area, he knew the region like no other and planned wonderful side trips you cannot imagine. Hiking 9 miles roundtrip to the abbey at Mont St. Michel is something I will never forget. Doing yoga every day. Walking to the beach to swim. Feasting like kings on home-cooked meals made by Charly and his family. We would eat dinner outside every night and feast on bread and cheese and wine and cider and before you knew it – it was 11 pm! This was hands-down the best vacation ever. Don’t wait. Experience it for yourself. “
“The retreat with Charlie on the coast of Normandy was one of the most special and memorable things I have ever done. As soon as I got Charlie’s email about the retreat, I knew I had to go. I am so glad I followed this instinct because going to France was a life changing experience for me. Charlie gave us great guidance on how to get to France, where to stay in Paris, how to get on the train and anything else we needed to know for our journey. Everything from the beautiful old farm house we stayed in to the incredible food (mostly prepared by Charly and his mom and sister) to the yoga classes to the sites we saw was absolutely amazing. I loved every minute of it. There was a great balance of doing things and going places and free time to rest and do your own thing too. I loved that we could walk to the AMAZING beach if we wanted and swim in the beautiful ocean there or walk to the little town to shop or go to a coffee shop. Doing yoga everyday really helped to bring balance of body, mind and spirit and getting to take classes with Charly is such a gift anyways. Probably the highlight of the trip for me was the food. Oh, the glorious food. Amazing croissants in the morning with butter, delicious lunches and dinners that we ate slowly outside while talking and sipping wine in the twilight. It was sheer heaven. Also, going to Mont St. Michelle was very special and a day I will never forget. Overall, I loved this trip and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that is considering going.”
